Farewell Party Decoration

Image
It has been a while… 😅 I’ve had a lot of work lately, which is good but keeps me from doing the stuff that I like (this included haha), so anyway… about maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago I had a small gathering at my house with my friends from the Book Club, and no, it was not about books, it was a farewell party for a friend who’s going back to her house in Spain. This won’t be a long written post, I’d like to show you how the party decorations went, because I love to do that! With the help of my book club friends, we made the following items: Suitcase Candy Box Farewell Banner Pompom Banner Polaroid Message Table Here are some pictures from the party. I really liked how the party went, and the decoration as well. I hope I can do more stuff like this later. I’ll write about it when it happens again.

Things I’m Grateful For

Image
Prompt Entry #2 A list of things I’m grateful for… Many, I think, but I’ve never tried to list them before, so I’ll start. I’m grateful for/because... My mom and dad, because they’ve been the best teachers in my life and they continue to be. My sisters, one that is my very best friend and another that makes me want to be a better person everytime. My niece and nephews, but mostly my niece because she’s a light in my life, is cheerful and makes me smile every time. The happiness and health of the people I listed above. My health. The roof I have over my head and the food in my table. My current Job, even though sometimes it makes me want to quit, I’m happy that I have it. My friends, because they’re still there even though I’m not the most talkative person. I got the oportunity to attend school and get a bachelor degree with a scolarship. I’ve travelled to wonderful places with wonderful people. All my mistakes, because they’ve made me grow into the person I am today. I’ve never been in...

Sooner or later, I find my way back

Image
Every once in a while I remember that I have this blog and that I swore to myself that I would write often in it, but most of the time I don’t give myself the time or just feel like there’s nothing worth writing about… but I always come back, despite of it all.

Traveling passion

When travelling is your thing... you can never have enough... The world is just too big! Haha but ok, I'll narrow it down to my favorite destinations which are Asia and Europe, still too big and full of wonders. That's the thought I've had ever since I came back from Japan some months ago. The trip it was awesome, I think I could've make some things better but still it was great... but as I came back I felt like I didn't belong back here... which is not right since everything I have and own is back here in Mexico, but still the feeling was there. As time passes one begins to move on and fall again into our routines, waiting for the next time the opportunity and the circumstances will be just right to do it again and feel the freedom of traveling. Why is it so difficult to do it often... well, I actually do have the answer to that, I don't have enough money to do it often; but in reality I think is a good situation to be in, because I know that if tra...

10 Travelling Tips

Image
I like travelling a lot, if you ever get to see around this blog you will see some of my trips re-cap.  Unfortunately I don't get to do it very often, only when I have enough money to do it and time... but I've done it enough to make a list of tips that may be helpful in case you want to make a short trip and keep it in your budget! 1. Find a bed I believe the most important thing when you already know you are going to travel is to find where to stay! Even though you could do it at the moment of your arrival, is always more comfortable to do it while you're at home.  There are very good booking sites, but the one i personally like the most is www.hostelworld.com because it offers very good quality places with very accessible places! Also, if you know to which airport, station, or place you will be arriving it offers hostel localization in a map so you can select those closer to your arrival place or close to a subway station and you don't have to walk ...

Planes para el presente... Sueños para el futuro

Image

Image
As promised, this is the entry dedicated to a very special part of my trip to Europe, specifically England in January/February 2014. My visit to one of my very best friends who is currently living in Nottingham (... at least up until the time of this post was written), my dear Rocio Hinojosa. After a week long trip to London, France, Belgium & Netherlands we came back to England, picked up our luggage and headed to the bus station that would take us to Nottingham, which is located north of London and took us about 5 or 6 hours to get there. [NOTTINGHAM] We met with my friend Chio at the bus station and then went straight to her house, located in Beeston and also very close to Nottingham University. That day, I realized of a very stupid situation... I lost the key to open my suitcase, so I had to continue using the clothes I used for the previous trip.. bad luck! That same night we met Chio's house mates, Armando, Ulises (both Mexican) and also a neighbor called Ross (...
