Beneath the Mountain - Luca D’Andrea

Image
Ok, so I read this book in Spanish and the name was La sustancia del mal, which sort of translates to The substance of evil (or something along those lines…) and I have to say, I didn't get it (the Spanish title…), it was mentioned once, and still I didn't get it. At least the English title "Beneath the Mountain" is more identifiable in the story than the Spanish one but well, in the end it doesn’t matter very much. Starting off with this, I have to say that even though it was a very thrilling story in the end I didn’t like it very much… But, don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it was a bad book! It was one of those stories that capture the reader and compels to continue reading until you actually know exactly what’s going on, which I believe is something good in a book! haha but the end (ugh… you’ll find out). On with it !! **** SPOILERS AHEAD**** The first (mmmmh) 3 or 4 pages are non-sence… you sort of understand them AFTER you finish the book (or at least have read...

10 Travelling Tips

Image
I like travelling a lot, if you ever get to see around this blog you will see some of my trips re-cap.  Unfortunately I don't get to do it very often, only when I have enough money to do it and time... but I've done it enough to make a list of tips that may be helpful in case you want to make a short trip and keep it in your budget! 1. Find a bed I believe the most important thing when you already know you are going to travel is to find where to stay! Even though you could do it at the moment of your arrival, is always more comfortable to do it while you're at home.  There are very good booking sites, but the one i personally like the most is www.hostelworld.com because it offers very good quality places with very accessible places! Also, if you know to which airport, station, or place you will be arriving it offers hostel localization in a map so you can select those closer to your arrival place or close to a subway station and you don't have to walk ...

Moment App – Results

Image
So, my last entry was about this Moment App, which again I’ll leave you BuzzFeed’s video that made me download it in the first place. So, my predictions were that maybe I use my iPhone around 2 hours and I pick it up from 60 to 80 times a day. Here are the results from the 1st day. Actually downloaded the app on January 26 (Enero 26) but it was at night so I started counting from the next day. So, it was almost the same amount I predicted... 127 minutes equal 2.12 hours, but I picked it up only 26 times... so probably some of those 26 were heavy usage pick ups haha.. I continued using the app for the following week and here are the results of the next days... why? because I thought the first day it was going to be "not very real" since I knew the app was counting my time on the phone, but by the 2nd day I totally forgot about it, and so I remembered yesterday when I was thinking about what my next entry would be about :) ! This is my week phone usage, in minutes!...

Twenties Expectations [My Take]

Image
I stumbled upon a very interesting post in tumblr about "What to expect when you're expecting to ACTUALLY enjoy your Twenties" ... It is a comic-like post about realities some of us live when faced with the start of our twenties. At the moment, I'm 27 years old... so I actually already passed some of this situations but it only makes it funnier because I did live them... So here it is. I have had only 2 real boyfriends in my life, and only 1 was actually formal... and it also ended a long time ago at the beginning of my twenties... maybe 20 or 21. So ever since then I've been pretty much single, I may have had some fleeting relationships that were neither long nor significant... But other people around me, in my same age or sometimes younger are discussing marriage or children and I'm like "what!? but there's so much still you have to try and live!" but... is fruitless.  I've gotten to used to the single life that I'm ...

Paciencia y Tolerancia

Image
